SIG SPECIALIST CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS (SCP) LAUNCHES MAJOR £120 MILLION CONSTRUCTION ACCESSORIES COMPANY

WEDNESDAY 01 OCTOBER 2008: SIG Specialist Construction Products (SCP) has launched SIG Construction Accessories. The new major new company combines the expertise and experience of six existing companies, wholly owned by SIG - BBM, Support Site, Blueprint Construction Supplies, Buildspan, Pre Pour and Beaver 84 (shoring and piling).

SIG Construction Accessories has been established to ensure that the best and widest possible range of products and services can be easily accessed by its customers. It will serve all the existing customers of the six businesses. SIG Construction Accessories has over 20 branches providing nationwide coverage and employs over 250 highly trained staff. The total of the five companies combined turnover stood at £120 million for the last financial year.

By combining the forces of SCP’s groundwork, concrete accessory and masonry products, customers will be able to source their construction accessory products from one supplier, making the buying process simple and streamlined. SIG Construction Accessories has very strong existing relationships with the UK’s leading manufacturers and will continue to benefit customers, supplying construction chemicals, brickwork accessory products, concrete, formwork and groundwork foundation accessories and waterproofing materials.

We contacted our staff, customers and suppliers about the changes in mid-September and we have had a great deal of support for the change.
