Manchester based geotechnical specialists, CMS Geotechnical Solutions has been recognised as one of the best specialist contractors in the business. It has been shortlisted for the Construction News Specialist Awards 2010 – a highly respected construction trade award.

CMS Geotechnical Solutions specialises in ground improvement, foundation piling, slope stabilisation and ground support systems and products for the construction and civil engineering industries.

It supplies its products to the construction, infrastructure and utilities markets with work recently being completed on a road construction scheme and a new wind farm project. With its head office located at Trafford Park, Manchester, the company benefits from an unrivalled distribution network with regional distribution centres located across the country.

Employing xx people, the company prides itself on the products and specialist consultancy service it provides for its clients. It has increased its market share by 1.15 per cent from November 2008 to November 2009, which considering the overall market has shrunk by over 20 per cent, is demonstrative of CMS Geotechnical’s hard work and commitment to product knowledge and customer service.

CMS Geotechnical Solutions is up against other groundworks and geotechnical specialists in the industry in the Ground Engineering category of the prestigious awards. The winners are due to be announced at the final at the London Hilton, Park Lane on 4 March 2010.
