Four happy and healthy cygnets have hatched this week at SIG Construction Accessories’ branch at Trafford Park, Manchester.

Dave Devlin, Sales Coordinator at SIG Construction Accessories says: "Even in Trafford Park, one of the largest industrial estates in Europe, nature is flourishing down by the Manchester to Liverpool Canal, at the edge of SIG Construction Accessories’ busy yard.

"About six weeks ago a pair of swans laid nine eggs of which four appear to have hatched."

"All the cygnets appear to be healthy and mother is very protective as can be expected. Nevertheless, she will quite happily sit and show off her babies to us, sometimes lifting her wing just enough to give us a peek, though we think that’s just her party trick to get more bread from us!"

He adds: "We’ve had countless customers making jokes about SIGnets on the SIG site. We’ve really come to enjoy having the little guys swanning around."
